Canada is a country occupying most of northern North America, extending from the Atlantic Ocean in the east to the Pacific Ocean in the west and northward into the Arctic Ocean. It is the world's second largest country by total area, and shares land borders with the United States to the south and northwest.
The land occupied by Canada was inhabited for millennia by various aboriginal peoples. Beginning in the late 15th century, British and French expeditions explored and later settled the Atlantic coast. France ceded nearly all of its colonies in North America in 1763 after the Seven Years' War. In 1867, with the union of three British North American colonies through Confederation, Canada was formed as a federal dominion of four provinces. This began an accretion of additional provinces and territories and a process of increasing autonomy from the United Kingdom, highlighted by the Statute of Westminster in 1931, and culminating in the Canada Act in 1982 which severed the vestiges of legal dependence on the British parliament.A federation now comprising ten provinces and three territories, Canada is a parliamentary democracy and a constitutional monarchy, with Queen Elizabeth II as its head of state. It is a bilingual and multicultural country, with both English and French as official languages at the federal level. Technologically advanced and industrialized, Canada maintains a diversified economy that is heavily reliant upon its abundant natural resources and upon trade—particularly with the United States, with which Canada has had a long and complex relationship.
Colombia officially the Republic of Colombia , is a country located in Northwestern South America. Colombia is bordered to the east by Venezuela and Brazil;to the south by Ecuador and Peru; to the north by the Atlantic Ocean, through the Caribbean Sea; to the north-west by Panama; and to the west by the Pacific Ocean. Colombia also shares maritime borders with the Caribbean countries of Jamaica, Haiti and the Dominican Republic and the Central American countries of Honduras, Nicaragua and Costa Rica. Colombia is the 26th largest nation in the world and the fourth largest in South America (after Brazil, Argentina, and Peru), with an area more than twice that of France. It also has the 29th largest population in the world and the second largest in South America, after Brazil.
Colombia is a standing middle power with the second largest Spanish-speaking population in the world after Mexico. It is also one of the largest manufacturers in South America. Colombia is very ethnically diverse, and the interaction between descendants of the original native inhabitants, Spanish colonisers, African slaves and twentieth-century immigrants from Europe and the Middle East has produced a rich cultural heritage. This has also been influenced by Colombia's incredibly varied geography. The majority of the urban centres are located in the highlands of the Andes mountains, but Colombian territory also encompasses Amazon rainforest, tropical grassland and both Caribbean and Pacific coastlines. Ecologically, Colombia is considered to be among 17 of the most megadiverse countries in the world.
I think that living in a large city is very interesting, I have always lived in a large city and I know that living in a large city have many advantages and it’s important for living comfortably. In the first place, when you live in a large city you have many opportunities for working; also you can meet more people, go to many tourist and cultural place, you can go shopping in many different malls, and a very important fact is that a large city is safer than a small city. For example, you can access to more working opportunities because there are more companies and factories, also when you go to a pub or a disco you can make friends by meeting people. In Bogotá, for example, you can choose to go to Santafé Mall or Centro Chia Mall; also you will find that in this city there are many places where the army or the police make presence. Secondly, in a large city there is technology and more options for choosing such as food, clothes and other objects. On the other hand, some people think that living in a large city is very stressful because there is pollution, traffic, and things are very expensive. Besides, they say that in a large city you don’t have good friends because there are a lot of people that are more independent and don’t care for nature, like animals, plants and environment. But I disagree with those ideas, for example, because if you live in a large city you will be able to help the people on small cities with technology that is important for agriculture.
Furthermore, if you live in a large city you will study in an important school or university.Taking everything into account there are very interesting and necessary things to live in a large city, because you can develop into a better person and have a better life, having more money, knowing more people and having more opportunities to succeed.
